Jobs: EC In a massive Recruitment Drive

As the country gears up for a lengthy period of political polemics, to mark the next election cycle slated for 2025/2026 of the General Elections, the body responsible for overseeing the exercise- The Electoral Commission has announced new job offerings in a massive recruitment drive.

The new positions include 2300 vacancies at the Sub-County level and 10,717 election officers at the parish level.

While these election Officers will cover Uganda’s vast administrative landscape, they will be put to test to deliver beyond public expectations for the 3 or more months of deployment.

This recruitment drive comes as a reprieve to many job seekers who hope to get consideration for these positions.

In the announcement, the Electoral Commision has put stringet requirements of, among others, an advanced level certificate for the Subcounty level, experience in handling public affairs, and a crime free record. The same requirements apply at the parish level, except for the ordinary level certificate.

Over the years, EC has come under the spotlight as they exercise their mandate to deliver a free and fair election, in a country where 75% of the population is under the youthful bracket.
