The Government of Uganda, through NAADS, has taken a significant step by encouraging farmers to preserve local avocado varieties, especially since the demand for avocado has more than doubled. This surge in demand has led to the establishment of several processing plants across the country to extract crude oil from avocados.

As Uganda’s first and largest avocado oil processor, Avolio industries has stepped up to meet this growing need. In just 3 years, they’ve ramped up their production from 10 tonnes a day to an impressive 80 tonnes daily, ensuring that the pure essence of Uganda’s finest avocados reaches the global market. With a capacity to buy and process 160,000 kilos of avocado fruits every day, they’re just setting the standard for quality but also empowering local farmers and promoting sustainability.
